Yuko Leather Goods Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Officer to join our growing team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation, security, and ongoing improvement of our IT infrastructure, including computer systems and networks.
Jobs Responsibilities
System and Network Maintenance:
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of computer systems and networks.
- Manage and maintain Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs).
- Ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of network storage systems.
- Install, configure, and assemble computer hardware, software, and network components.
- Configure and secure internet connectivity using switches, routers, and cabling.
- Manage network security through IP configuration, switch and router configuration, and ongoing vigilance.
- Oversee and maintain network cabling infrastructure.
Hardware and Software Management:
- Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and essential applications.
- Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain printers, network printers, scanners, security cameras, and IP phones.
- Maintain a high level of proficiency in commonly used software applications.
Troubleshooting and Support:
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software malfunctions within the IT infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues to ensure optimal user experience.
- Manage and maintain the Microsoft Outlook Mail Server.
- Configure and manage MikroTik Routers.
Collaboration and Security:
- Collaborate effectively with the IT team to conduct and implement information security assessments.
- Assist management with any IT-related tasks as assigned.
- Champion data security by implementing and enforcing robust security protocols for network access and backup systems.
Management and Planning:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the IT department.
- Oversee the planning, organization, control, and evaluation of IT operations and electronic data management.
- Recruit, train, and mentor IT staff members, providing clear performance expectations and evaluations.
- Design, develop, implement, and manage IT systems, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Advocate for user needs while considering system functionality to contribute to organizational policy development.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement strategic solutions to optimize IT operations.
- Conduct regular IT system audits to assess outcomes and identify areas for enhancement.
- Safeguard IT assets, prioritize information security, and maintain robust control structures.
- Manage the annual IT budget and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
